Rudy Rucker’s Book Picks for 2015 | Rudy’s Blog

From his travels in Guanajuato.

Rudy Rucker is one of my all time favorite authors and now we get to know what he’s been reading!!!

Spoiler. New William Gibson, old Kim Stanley Robinson, and Pynchon!

“I’ve been seeing various “Authors Recommend Books” columns lately, so thought I’d put in my ten cents worth. I’m constantly looking for books these days…”

P.S.

A bunch of Rudy’s earlier written work was just re-released on ebook and paper! Check out Spacetime Donuts for example! Classic early acid style with neat and plausible physics as plot devices!

Neal Stephenson’s Seveneves: five thousand years of apocalypse and rebirth

“So the moon blew up” and this novel is off to the races!

Good review by Cory Doctorow through link. One of the coolest books I’ve read in a while. Just goes for the gusto in the end! Awesome space tech spans 5000 years and seems short even then! Must read!
